About Me

I’m Natalie Turner, author, TEDx speaker, and a seeker of what it means to live with depth, creativity, and courage.

The Red Silk Dress is my debut novel, shaped by years of living across Southeast Asia and Europe, and by the inner landscapes that have defined my journey.

Its themes—identity, desire, belonging, cultural connection, and the risk of choosing one’s truth—are threads that have accompanied me through both my personal and professional life.

My work has long sat at the intersection of leadership, innovation, and human potential, where I have seen how profoundly our stories shape the choices we make and the lives we build.

Fiction, for me, is another way of exploring these truths: a way to see ourselves more clearly, to question what we have inherited, and to imagine who we might yet become.

Whether through storytelling, my award-winning non-fiction book Yes, You Can Innovate, or my work with people and organisations, my intention remains the same: to invite reflection and support transformation, courage, and a more grounded, human way of being.

If you would like to stay connected, explore how the novel’s themes might deepen into lived experience, or hear what unfolds next, you are warmly invited to join The Red Silk Circle or connect with me on Instagram.

Thank you for being here. I hope this story finds you at just the right time.

The Red Silk Dress

From the mystical temples of Angkor Wat to the glittering expat communities of Malaysia and the elegance of Paris, The Red Silk Dress is a story of longing, courage and transformation.

Claudette, a French expat trapped in a loveless marriage, is captivated by Som, a charismatic Cambodian whose passion for his homeland awakens desires she thought were lost.

Torn between duty and a seductive awakening that promises freedom, but at a cost, Claudette must choose or risk losing the life calling her name.

An intimate journey through the beauty and ache of second chances, the risks we take for love, and the secrets we keep, even from ourselves. For everyone longing to reclaim identity, this story will linger long after the final page.

Filmed in front of the tiled mural in my home courtyard, this video shares how The Red Silk Dress emerged from memory, visual inspiration, and my childhood dream of becoming a storyteller.
